The National Science Fair for Young Children is organized by the Tamil Foundation with the objectives of encouraging young children to look at the world in a creative manner through the development and implementation of the science projects.
Young children from the Tamil schools throughout the country are gathered to showcase their science experiments and inventions after competing at the state level in their respective states. This Science Fair organizing team provides intervention at school level to help school teachers select projects for entry into this competition. As a result of this, they set a benchmark for these schools to achieve in science education. This program benefits many children in rural Tamil schools by encouraging learning through experiments.
ECM Libra Foundation was one of the main sponsors for the National Science Fair for Young Children between 2009 and 2012.
