In support of youths who want to positively impact their community, ECM Libra Foundation sponsored M.A.D. (Make A Difference) Youth Summit 2020’s prize money for projects related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education.
There was a total of five winners under the SDG 4 category. The winners proposed community projects to address issues faced by various marginalised communities including the Orang Asli, children with special needs, children from rural areas and refugees.
The top prize went to Consenses, a group of five students from HELP International School, which proposed to hold outreach programmes in schools and communities on sex education in an effort to reduce the incidence of teenage pregnancy, baby dumping and rape in Malaysia.
